The Role

Wintel Lead at Kyndryl are project-based subject matter experts in all things infrastructure – good at providing analysis, documenting and diagraming work for hand-off, offering timely solutions, and generally “figuring it out.” This is a hands-on role where your feel for the interaction between a system and its environment will be invaluable to every one of your clients.

The responsibility includes:

Monitoring connectivity, synchronization, replication, net logon, time services, FSMO roles, schema, NTDS database partitions, DNS settings, SRV records, and trust relationships.

Monitor and resolve security/ Vulnerability situations at all levels of the domain to ensure a stable and secure domain server environment.

Advanced level of Administration of Windows server with active directory, DNS, DHCP and High Availability.

Capable to handle All Major Incidents related to Active Directory and Domain environment.

Deployment/Administration of Azure AD Connect Tool, Configuring Synchronization Rules, Troubleshoot Synchronization Issues.

Enforce compliance with industry regulations and organizational policies for Windows, ESXi, Linux, and Office 365 environments.

Align infrastructure objectives with broader business goals, including those related to Office 365.

Integrate and manage cloud computing technologies, including Office 365, to enhance overall infrastructure efficiency.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives across Windows, ESXi, Linux, and Office 365 environments.

Evaluate and implement new technologies including Office 365 applications to improve operational efficiency.

Maintain comprehensive documentation for compliance and performance tracking across all platforms and Office 365 services.

Wintel Lead encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities aimed at managing and optimizing the Windows, ESXi, Linux operating systems (OS), virtual machine (VM) infrastructure, and Office 365 environment within both data center and cloud environments. This entails overseeing the team responsible for administration of Windows, ESXi, Linux servers, Active Directory services, virtual machine environments, and Office 365 applications, while ensuring continuous availability, reliability, and performance optimization across all platforms.

Risk mitigation efforts involve identifying and addressing potential vulnerabilities across Windows, ESXi, Linux platforms, and Office 365 applications, while strategic planning initiatives focus on aligning infrastructure objectives with broader business goals.

This is a project-based role where you’ll enjoy deep involvement throughout the lifespan of a project, as well as the chance to work closely with Architects, Technicians, and PMs. Whatever your current level of tech savvy or where you want your career to lead, you’ll find the right opportunities and a buddy to support your growth. Required Technical and Professional Experience

12+ years of experience in data center management, with a focus on Windows OS, VMware, Active Directory administration and Azure AD administration and O365 administration.

Strong understanding of architecting and configuring Microsoft Windows OS technology including Active Directory Forests, Domains, Trusts, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and Organizational Units.

Implementation, management and troubleshooting of the Active Directory Domain Forest. Creation and removal of domains. Multi-forest management within the Active Directory as well as dealing with one-way and two-way trust relationships.

Hands-on experience & Strong knowledge in AD Migrations, Transitions, Active directory Forest Implementation. Experience in AD Inter-Forest Migration using AD Manager, Quest/ADMT tools, AD connect deployments, AD Upgradation projects.

Working within the Active Directory database for maintenance, recovery, and troubleshooting.

SCCM Knowledge is a must and MS Intune Knowledge and strong Leadership and Communication skills.

Windows Server certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administrator) & VMware certifications (e.g., VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization).

Script development (PowerShell, Windows batch, Linux shell)

Design, implementation and automation of PowerShell

Hands-on experience & Strong knowledge ADFS, DFS, Windows PKI.

Advanced Azure AD integration with O365 maintenance and troubleshooting

Advanced O365 new setup and migration to O365

Advanced knowledge of email security product setup

Experience with VMware and HyperV administration

Experience with Hyper-V/VMware setup and migration

Experience installing and configuring the ESXi host and virtual machine

Experience configuring virtual switch and network connections

Experience with creation, deletion, and modification of server VM’s in Hyper V Management server.

Azure AD & Active Directory Federation Services

Microsoft CA, PKI

PowerShell, Scripting

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or related field.

Knowledge of compliance standards and regulations relevant to data center operations.

Additional certifications in cloud technologies or compliance (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Information Systems Auditor) would be advantageous.
