Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer (Contractor) with strong expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM) technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, developing, and integrating secure identity services using modern authentication and authorization standards. This role will focus on building scalable, secure identity solutions and session management services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions and services.
- Implement and integrate authentication and authorization protocols including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and SAML 2.0.
- Build and enhance identity services, including user authentication, authorization, session and token management in the cloud control plane
- Implement secure and scalable session management mechanisms.
- Develop backend services using Go and Python, following best practices for performance, security, and maintainability.
- Integrate IAM services with internal applications and third-party systems.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices related to identity, authentication, and access control.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve identity-related issues across environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including security, DevOps, and application development teams.
- Write clear technical documentation and contribute to design discussions.
Required Qualifications
- 5–6 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with IAM technologies and concepts.
- Proven experience implementing OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML 2.0 in real-world systems.
- Expertise in Go and Python for backend development.
- Solid experience with session management, token handling, and secure authentication flows.
- Strong understanding of security principles related to identity, access control, and authentication.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with IAM platforms or tools (e.g., Keycloak, Auth0, Okta, Ping Identity, or similar).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of Zero Trust or modern identity architectures.
