Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer with hands-on experience in Routing and Switching to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Cisco Nexus switches, ASR1000/ASR9000 routers, and routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF. The role requires excellent troubleshooting skills, strong communication in English, and the ability to work in a 24x7 support environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, configure, and maintain Cisco network infrastructure, including Nexus switches, ASR1000, and ASR9000 series routers.
- Implement, monitor, and troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 network services.
- Support and optimize routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), VLANs, STP, and QoS policies.
- Perform proactive network health checks, capacity planning, and performance analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve complex network issues.
- Participate in network upgrades, migrations, and change management activities.
- Provide 24x7 operational support on a rotational roster basis, including incident response and on-call support.
- Maintain accurate network documentation, topology diagrams, and operational procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3–4 years of hands-on experience in network operations or engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Routing & Switching concepts and configurations.
- Practical experience with Cisco Nexus, ASR1000, and ASR9000 platforms.
- In-depth understanding of BGP, OSPF, and related network protocols.
- Familiarity with IPv4/IPv6, MPLS, and QoS will be an added advantage.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Fluent English communication skills (verbal and written).
- Flexibility to work in a 24x7 rotational environment.
Preferred Certifications:
- For L2 role: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent certification preferred.
- For L3 role: Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) is good to have.
