Job Description:
We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Senior Security Engineer to support the design, deployment, and ongoing operations of secure network infrastructure. This role requires deep hands-on expertise with Fortinet FortiGate Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), including advanced threat protection and VPN services, as well as strong proficiency in configuring and managing Citrix NetScaler (ADC) load balancers. The ideal candidate will have a strong operational mindset with a focus on availability, performance, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy, configure, and maintain FortiGate firewalls, including:
- NGFW features: IPS, application control, web filtering, antivirus, etc.
- IPsec and SSL VPN tunnels for site-to-site and remote access
- High Availability (HA) clustering and health checks
- Firewall rules, NAT, routing, and segmentation policies
- Manage and optimize Citrix NetScaler (ADC) appliances for:
- Load balancing of web and application services
- SSL offloading, certificate installation, and renewal
- Content switching, rewrite/responder policies, and access control
- Monitor and troubleshoot firewall and NetScaler performance, logs, and alerts
- Perform regular security rule reviews, software upgrades, and vulnerability remediation
- Assist with incident response and forensic analysis involving firewall and NetScaler traffic
- Document configurations, procedures, and operational runbooks
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and security teams to enforce security standards and support project needs
Required Qualifications:
- 5–8 years of experience in network security engineering roles
- Deep hands-on experience with FortiGate firewalls, including NGFW and VPN features
- 2–3 years of operational experience with Citrix NetScaler ADC
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing (BGP, OSPF), VLANs, and access control concepts
- Experience managing security logs and events, and familiarity with SIEM workflows
- Ability to perform detailed troubleshooting with packet capture and diagnostics tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fortinet NSE 4/5 or higher certifications
- Citrix networking certifications (CCA-N, CCP-N)
